Meet Dr. Uche-Ezeala IJ

Dr. Uche-Ezeala IJ is a transformational leader, award-winning entrepreneur, community advocate, mother, volunteer, and long-time member of the Fort McMurray community. With nearly two decades of community commitment, she has dedicated her life to serving families, empowering youth, and building a stronger, more inclusive Ward 1.

Her work is rooted in a deep belief that strong communities are built through relationship, engagement, advocacy, and leadership — values that guide everything she does.

Why I'm Running

Fort McMurray is home. It's where I've raised my family, built my career, and poured my heart into serving others. I'm running for Ward 1 Councillor because I believe our community deserves leadership that listens, engages, and advocates with integrity.

Residents deserve good governance, reliable leadership, accountability, meaningful engagement, and a strong voice at council. I want to be that voice — fighting for practical solutions, transparent decision-making, and a future where every resident feels seen, heard, and valued.
